As the most basic principle in the therapy process, dysfunctional and unhealthy thoughts are replaced with alternative/realistic thoughts. It states that the change created at the level of thought will also affect the emotions in a positive way, and thus the desired behavioral change will be observed. Thanks to the methods used in the therapy process, the individual is taught various ways of coping. In this way, it is aimed to change the thought and behavior patterns that are not good in a positive way.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the most commonly used type of psychotherapy today. It is an evidence-based application that gives effective results in many disorders such as depression, anxiety disorder, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
