OBESITY
The weight of adipose tissue in the normal human body is 16-17% of our total body weight. Every person whose rate exceeds 30% is considered obese.
Contrary to popular belief, habitual obesity (or common obesity) is not due to an endocrine gland dysfunction, but to a calorie-rich and unbalanced diet. As a matter of fact, this is the reason why obesity is so common in all consumer societies.
Obesity is a real disease. It causes many serious diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, psychological disorders and some mental diseases, lung diseases, metabolic diseases (gout disease, diabetes disease, etc.) and rheumatic diseases. These dangers explain the necessity of treating every obesity. The only treatment is to follow a low-calorie diet.
CAUSES OF OBESITY
Obesity can theoretically be due to excess fat cells. In fact, if there is a very severe increase in the number of fat cells, sometimes with the effect of overeating in the first childhood, this increase may soon become permanent. In that case, the origin of obesity caused by an increase in the number of fat cells is based on very young ages, and later on, even if the number of fat cells is not reduced, the amount of fat stored by each can be reduced.
Being overweight in infants is not a health symptom as most of us think, but on the contrary, it seriously threatens the future of the child.
The main feature of obesity is the marked growth of fat cells, which expand beyond measure and swell with fat stores. The first and main reason for this loading is the intake of more nutrients than consumed.
A sedentary person has low body activity, has a high appetite and eats a lot. However, it is a fact that some people have an appetite and remain thin, while others are fat even if they eat less. You can see this by looking at the most beautiful former athletes. While many famous athletes are young and actively involved in sports, they have a weak body when they are active and active. After quitting sports and due to increasing appetite with advancing age, they quickly gain weight and continue their lives as fat people.
In this case, an enzyme disorder (an enzyme that facilitates and accelerates metabolism reactions), a nervous system or endocrine glands irregularity can be held responsible to explain the abnormal behavior of fat cells in fat production.
CLINICAL SYMPTOMS
Common obesity, which is due to overeating (small cakes and sweets snacks between meals) and cannot be met with physical activities, is very common in people aged between 40 and 55 years.
Excess fat in men is mostly seen in the neck, neck and belly regions. (Android type obesity)
In women, excess fat is mostly in the chest, shoulders, hips and upper legs. (Gynoid type obesity)
In reality, the appearances are not so precise. Both male type (Android) obesity and female type (Jinoid) obesity can be seen in the same person. Likewise, a type of excess fat, which is usually seen in the opposite sex, can also be detected in a person.
In order to evaluate the effects of obesity, systematically;
Fasting blood sugar and HbA1C level measurement to look for diabetes,
Uric acid level measurement in the blood to look for gout (drops),
Blood elevations that may play a role in the formation of atherosclerosis Measurements of lipid level, blood triglyceride level and blood cholesterol levels,
Since respiratory failure in obese people is mostly seen with an increase in erythrocytes (red blood cells), blood formula (hemogram),
analyzes are required.
If left untreated, obesity leads to many diseases. Obese people have a shorter lifespan than the general population. In the United States, insurance companies charge an additional premium for obese people when they issue life insurance. If the diet is regulated early enough, the emergence of diseases can be prevented.
Obesity treatment must be done under the control of a physician. Losing weight suddenly is fraught with many risks and dangers in terms of health. While losing weight, the ideal weight should be reached by both physician control and gradually changing the eating habits with willpower.
As a result, obesity is not only a physical appearance disorder, but also a real disease with dangerous consequences, which can lead to cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, gout, metabolic diseases and some other ailments.
Poor eating habits, fast food type diet, eating more foods than sugar, indulging in large amounts of chocolate, wafers, sweets, indulging in cola and sugary drinks, excessive consumption of red meat, calorie-rich meals, inactivity, sports Failure to do so causes occlusion of coronary arteries in the heart (coronary insufficiency), vascular and brain diseases observed in consumer societies, and increases the death rate.
The average life expectancy of obese people is 10 years shorter than that of the general population.
Even in this single example, before the obese people pass time and the diseases caused by obesity appear, they should switch to a low-calorie diet, limit animal foods in the diet, switch to plant-based, vegetable and fruit-like diets, abandon white bread, reduce daily consumption. should be fed with a large amount of whole wheat bread, exercise regularly every day, and walk for at least an hour.
The most important aspect of the job is that the person must believe in himself absolutely with his own will that I will weaken.
Afterwards, professional help from a Dietitian should be taken under the supervision of a physician and weight loss should be started with absolute perseverance, persistence and determination.
Remember that even just Believing and Desiring is half the job. As long as you believe and ask, the rest will come by itself.
Wishing you healthy days….
