13 Red Crescent Social Markets in 6 Provinces Serve the Disaster Victims

The Red Crescent rushes to the aid of earthquake victims at any time with its soup kitchens, mobile kitchens and catering vehicles located at different points in the 10 provinces most affected by the earthquake. The Red Crescent is trying to heal the wounds in the earthquake zone with its nearly 4,000 professionals and volunteers.

The Red Crescent continues its efforts, which it started in 10 provinces, 70 districts and 972 points, for the nutritional services of the disaster victims right after the earthquake. On the 33rd day of the disaster, together with the members of the Disaster Nutrition Platform in the coordination of the Red Crescent;

5 soup kitchens

86 catering vehicles,

361 mobile kitchens,

47 mobile ovens,

The members of the nutrition platform, who work with 22 field kitchens, also carry hot meals to the villages.

Approximately 131 Million Nutrition Support

The Disaster Nutrition Group, coordinated by the Red Crescent, has provided nutritional support to 130,288,490 people, 3 meals a day, from soup kitchens, mobile kitchens and mobile nutrition vehicles in the disaster area.

About 196,000 Disaster Victims Benefited from Social Markets

While the Red Crescent has put into service a total of 13 social markets in Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Malatya, Osmaniye and Gaziantep so that citizens can more easily access food and consumption products in such a large area of ​​influence, since the day the markets were opened, they benefited from 195,686 victims and met their needs free of charge.

70 Million Shopping Card from Kızılay to Disaster Victims

The Red Crescent continues to distribute shopping cards worth 70 million, which it planned in the first place, so that citizens staying in provinces in the earthquake zone or evacuated to different provinces can more easily access food and consumption products. The cards are distributed by the Turkish Red Crescent Provincial Central Branches to the survivors in the evacuation areas and to the survivors excluding the provinces where workplaces are not opened.
