Foods to Avoid in Gallbladder Diseases

SUGGESTIONS

  • Eat your food slowly, chew properly.

  • Foods made with meat should not be supplemented with fat. Before the meat is cooked, it must be separated from the fatty parts.

  • Consume your meals by boiling, grilling or cooking in the oven.

  • Before cooking chicken and turkey, remove their skins.

  • Do not consume oil for breakfast.

  • The amount of fat you add to salads should be quite low.

  • Leave the oil and water of the food on your plate.

  • Consume a maximum of 2 glasses of milk or yogurt (without cream) a day.

  • Take meat, chicken, fish or turkey (150-200 grams) up to 3 egg size per day.

  • The amount of fat in the cheese consumed should be reduced. Semi-skimmed cheeses should be preferred.

  • During gallbladder inflammation (when there is high pain), nutrition should not be from solid foods. (apple, peach juices, soup, yogurt can be preferred)

  • After the pain is gone, regular physical activity should be done.

  • Raw vegetables should be consumed finitely as they will cause gas formation.

  • Do not consume more than 1 handful of oil seeds per day (hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts, cashews, pumpkin seeds).

  • 2 servings of fruit can be consumed per day.
